ABOUT THE PROJECT
Primrose Community Trust is a new charity founded by local professionals with the aim to save Humbug Park making it fit for our future.
As local residents we see an opportunity to enhance the local community. We originally aimed to achieve this through the redevelopment of Humbug Park offering sports, recreation and wellbeing facilities for all of Crossgates.
Sadly, the discovery of mining shafts does not make this feasible so as discussed at the community meeting we are looking at the exciting prospect of a new Community Hub and Sports Arena.
We see this as a great opportunity to develop the spirit of Humbug Park for the benefit of everyone who lives, works and visits Crossgates.
PLAY A PART IN SHAPING CROSSGATES FUTURE
"Crossgates has seen a remarkable and beautiful development over the last 15 years. The work carried out by all community initiatives has been outstanding. This project is exciting, extremely ambitious and has been designed to compliment all the fantastic work that has been done to date. Likely to be completed at a cost of around £1.25 million. Our challenges are exciting but real."
